For me, unfinished artwork shots are always precious. There’s something special in the white spaces in these works that’s waiting to be completed by the artist’s hands.

2010 school works.

Sketches of the main characters of my upcoming graphic novel. My style is still a bit manga-ish but I tried to insert a touch of semi-realism on the rendering XD. I can’t wait to finish this project.

Will be posting more concept art/previews in a few days.

an artist’s self esteem is a very complicated thing

you have to think that you’re the shit just enough to keep on drawing
and then you have to hate yourself enough to constantly want to improve

it’s hard to maintain that balance man life is hard

#wow everything about this just hits the nail on its head

Coffee Bath by ~unfinishedtears
Something different from my usual works. I wanted to create something that is impressionistic, something similar to Van Gogh’s strokes I don’t know if I achieved it here, but oh well
I already finished this piece when I found out that the idea has been done a lot of times… *cough* well, this is my version of Coffee Bath. XD
Thanks to chromaa for the color scheme!

"Wow; what an amazing blog! I originally came on here to look at more of your ATLA/FMA art, but now as I read your childhood/college life reflection posts, it makes me reflect on my life's dreams (no matter how preposterous they were!)! If you really want something, you'll find a way to achieve it, and so I wish you good luck in achieving your dreams!"

Wow. Just, wow. Thank you very much! It’s really great to know that my blog’s worth reading to someone. Gosh, bless you and I truly hope you can achieve yours too! Good luck to us! <3

If there’s anything I miss right now, it’s coffee painting.

There’s just too much digital stuff in my life right now and to be honest I’m getting sick of it. I feel like I’m becoming too reliant to its powers, that sometimes, I feel like I only created 50% of my work and the rest is thanks to the almighty layer-opacity-color-adjustment-mask digital tool. I don’t know. I don’t understand myself. Digital painting is cool, it’s just that… ahhh. I just miss my first love: Traditional art.

I guess I’m just frustrated because for almost 6 months all I do is work on my laptop. Funny thing is that I rarely pick up my pen and paper and it felt like I forgot how to write. My penmanship became even more horrible. There was a time when I went to the bank to renew my ATM card. I had to sign 7 times to confirm my signature because each sign looks completely different, they couldn’t verify the same person signed it even though I’m right in front of them ahaha what am I saying, this case is completely different from drawing, damn you Tissine

I swear after I finish this semester, I’ll paint again on paper. Gosh I miss the smell of coffee on paper.

"I saw your watercolor from your graphic novel on eatsleepdraw and I think it's gorgeous! I love that you used coffee and blue. Beautiful!"

Well, aren’t you too kind to say that. Oh my heart. Thank you!
